Summary We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and engaging Lead Two Year old Teacher to create a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 2–3 years old. The Lead Teacher is responsible for classroom management, lesson planning, communication with families, and guiding assistant teachers while supporting each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Duties Key Responsibilities Classroom Leadership Lead and manage the daily operations of the toddler classroom Create a warm, positive, and structured environment Maintain consistent classroom routines and transitions Supervise and support assistant teachers and float staff Model professionalism and positive interactions with children, families, and staff Child Development & Curriculum Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans Support social-emotional development through positive guidance techniques Encourage language development, independence, and exploration Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors Adapt activities to meet individual needs of children Health & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Follow all Colorado licensing regulations and center policies Monitor children closely at all times to ensure safety Assist with diapering, potty training, handwashing, meals, and nap routines Maintain proper sanitation procedures throughout the day Family Communication Build positive relationships with families Communicate daily updates regarding children’s progress, routines, and concerns Address parent questions professionally and respectfully Participate in conferences and center events as needed Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training Help create a supportive and positive workplace culture Step into other classrooms when needed to support center operations Requirements Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting preferred Early Childhood Education coursework preferred Strong understanding of child development and positive guidance Ability to lead a classroom with confidence and consistency Excellent communication and organizational skills CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Must pass required background checks Nice To Haves Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Frequent sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and standing Ability to actively engage with children indoors and outdoors Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations Desired Qualities Patient and calm under pressure Energetic and engaging Reliable and self-motivated Team-oriented with a positive attitude Strong classroom management skills Passionate about helping children learn through play and exploration
