Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. This role involves preparing accurate electrical estimates, supporting project management activities, and collaborating with clients and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities
Estimating
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment
- Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Participate in bid reviews and proposal preparation
- Identify risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities
Project Management Support
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
- Support procurement of materials and equipment
- Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Help manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Monitor project progress to ensure schedule and budget compliance
Qualifications
- [2 ] years of experience in electrical estimating
- Experience supporting or managing electrical construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction methods
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Conest, McCormick)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman license
- Experience in commercial projects
- Project management software experience (Sharepoint)
