Businets is looking for an experienced Network Specialist to join our growing technical team. You will work in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our customers voice, data network, and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network and cloud support.
The position's responsibilities include supporting our customers both managed and break fix of day-to-day assistance with network management. You will work closely with customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution.
You will leverage your experience supporting large and small scale, enterprise class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting. As a Network Technician you will work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. In addition, to providing management services and support of our customer’s infrastructure you would establish and follow best practices and refine operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; or Industry Certifications in a relevant IT field (CCENT, Network , CCNA)
- Other relevant Industry certifications (CompTIA Network / Microsoft MTA, MCSA), or the ability and willingness to complete them
- 3 years in B2B IT environment
- 3 years in working in the Office 365 tenant environment
- 3 years of working with the Office 365 Entra and Identity
- 3 years’ experience with IP networking, including cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment (voltmeter, power meter, and OTDR etc.)
- 3 years’ experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- 3 years’ experience preferred with on-premises and hosted VoIP phone systems (Zultys, GrandStream, NUSO)
- 3 years’ experience preferred with Telecom systems and providers
- 3 years’ experience with firewall products Fortinet and Cisco preferred
Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing wired and wireless network systems
- Handle repairs and exchanges of defective hardware devices
- Collaborate on the improvement of network design and connectivity
- Perform routine network maintenance
- Maintain inventory of network devices
- Provide intermediate level service desk and technical support to users.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including trouble shooting of network device configurations and low-level application interaction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
