We’re a High Tech, High Touch bookkeeping and tax firm that blends smart systems with real client connection. We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and quick on the computer to primarily support our bookkeeping work, with some exposure to tax and occasional admin support when needed.

The owner believes in building people up, so this role is meant for someone who wants to grow. You don’t need to know everything coming in, but you do need to be willing to learn, take initiative, and get better over time.

Schedule: Core hours 9 AM – 3 PM, 10–30 hours/week (varies based on workload, with increased hours during tax season and as client demand grows)
Pay: Starting at $14–$18/hour based on experience, with room to grow
Location: Office at 16806 Telge Rd

In-person required. Some remote may be available over time.

What You’ll Do (in order of priority):

Primary – Bookkeeping

• Categorize and maintain transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Assist with clean-up and organization of financial data
• Support monthly bookkeeping workflows

Secondary – Tax Support (as needed)

• Organize source documents and prep workpapers
• Light data entry for tax returns
• Print to PDF tax returns and create invoices
• Upload tax forms (e.g., 8879s) and manage e-signatures
• E-file returns and track acknowledgments
• Monitor return statuses and handle client follow-ups
• Prepare and send extensions

Tertiary – Admin Support (only when needed)

• Answer phones and manage client communication
• Assist with incoming leads (sending forms, follow-ups, scheduling)
• Support recurring tasks and day-to-day operations
• Anticipate needs and take initiative

Software We Use:

QuickBooks Online, Canopy, Double, Outlook, Excel, Basecamp

What We’re Looking For:

• High school graduate or current college student (accounting/business preferred, but not required)
• Strong typing skills (50 WPM preferred, fast and accurate with proper keyboard use)
• Comfortable using keyboard shortcuts and navigating systems efficiently
• Tech-savvy, able to quickly learn new software and websites
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to catch on quickly
• Uses common sense when working through tasks and new systems
• Coachable, dependable, and willing to grow

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

This role moves at a fast pace and requires someone who is efficient and confident working on a computer. A live typing and computer skills test will be administered as part of the hiring process.

This role is ideal for someone who wants real-world experience in bookkeeping and tax, and is looking to build a long-term skillset in accounting.

A short trial run may be part of the process.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
