Role Description

The Linux Engineer (Alpine Liniux Must) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers, ensuring system security, and optimizing performance. Additional responsibilities involve managing system backups, monitoring system health, and providing technical support to improve operational efficiency. This is a part-time remote role, located in the United States.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience with network protocols, server maintenance, and overall infrastructure management
• Proficiency in shell scripting, automation, and task scheduling
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and performance optimization
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles to ensure secure Linux operations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Certifications such as RHCE, CompTIA Linux , or similar credentials are advantageous
