As a Due Diligence Investigator at BIA, you’ll dig into companies, conduct interviews, and deliver insights that directly shape investment strategies — all while working fully remote.
What You’ll Do
- Translate client intelligence needs into clear collection objectives
- Build expertise on target companies, sectors, and issues of interest
- Identify and interview sources with persistence, discretion, and urgency
- Oversee open-source research and synthesize findings
- Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence reports
- Conduct intelligence collection with persistence, discretion, and a sense of urgency.
- Report intelligence with objectivity, accuracy, timeliness and clarity.
- Partner with portfolio managers and analysts to strengthen decision-making
- Educate clients on the value of intelligence in the investment process
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in intelligence collection, due diligence, or related fields
- Strong understanding of corporate, technical, and financial issues
- Familiarity with company financial reporting, SEC filings; SmartSheet, LexisNexis, Westlaw a plus
- Comfortable with outreach and cold calling
- Practical experience with the private sector, in one or more industries of interest to the investment community.
- Thrive in a fast paced and deadline critical environment
- Exceptional writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree; fluency in a secondary language helpful
