Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the clinical research finance department. This role manages staff, research budgets, contracts, CTMS implementation, compliance, and financial operations for sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials. Works closely with leadership, investigators, sponsors, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the clinical research finance team
• Oversee research budgeting, contract negotiation, and financial compliance
• Lead month-end accounting, invoicing, accruals, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GCP, ICH, Medicare, Stark Law, and applicable regulations
• Lead CTMS development and study builds aligned with protocols and budgets

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Required) | Master’s Degree (Preferred)
• Certification (Required upon hire): ACRP, SOCRA, or other Clinical Research Certification

Experience:

• 7 years of clinical research experience
• 5 years of management or supervision of clinical trials
• 5 years of clinical research finance experience
• Strong experience with FDA regulations, GCP, ICH, and human research compliance
• Experience working with pharmaceutical sponsors and FDA representatives

Skills:

• Clinical research budgeting and contract negotiation
• CTMS implementation and management
• Strong knowledge of Medicare research billing and coding
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
