Schedule: 3/2 rotation – 4 days one week, 3 days the next
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay range: $48.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Med/Surg RN to join the Health Center in Bossier City, Louisiana.
The unit provides care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients, including CHF, COPD, altered mental status, DKA, and transplant-related patients. (BI02)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- First-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Strong Med/Surg/Telemetry experience
- Must be able to pass an EKG competency exam before arrival
- ACLS-level ability to read cardiac strips
- Previous experience with cardiac monitoring and acute-care patients preferred
Unit Details
- 25-bed unit
- RN-to-patient ratio: 1:5
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication System: Pyxis
- RT available 24/7
- IV/VAT team available on days
- PT, OT, and Speech Therapy support
- No on-call requirement
Schedule & Contract Details
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours/week guaranteed
- 12-hour day shifts
- Mandatory 3/2 schedule rotation
- Every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 major holidays
- Travelers may float to other units within their scope of practice
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; additional contract extension may be required

Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
