Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) – Long Beach, CA
Location: Long Beach, CA
Contract Duration: 13-week contract with potential extension (Contract-to-Hire)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $32–$34/hr
Shift: Flexible (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washers, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.)
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Maintain inventory of sterile and non-sterile supplies
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of instruments
- Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing Tech experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- CRCST or CSPDT certification required
