Sterile Processing Coordinator – Elmhurst, IL
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Contract Duration: 13-week contract with potential extension (Contract-to-Hire)
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: 40 hrs/week (Flexible shift options)
- Pay Range: $34–$37 per hour
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, washers, and ultrasonic cleaners
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Maintain inventory of sterile and non-sterile supplies
- Work closely with surgical and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of instruments
- Follow all infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing Coordinator experience
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification required
