Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule Notes:
- Night Shift preferred
- Rotating Day/Night schedules may be available based on unit needs
- Weekend rotation required as per department needs
- Floating required to Med-Surg Oncology units
Position Overview
Facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) / Hematology Oncology to join a high-acuity inpatient oncology team caring for adult and geriatric patients receiving specialized hematology, oncology, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapies.
This role requires strong inpatient hematology/oncology experience, chemotherapy administration knowledge, central line management, blood product administration, and the ability to care for medically complex oncology patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. (BI02)
Required Qualifications Experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must have at least 1 year of current inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience within the last 3 years
- Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience preferred
- Must have experience with Medical-Surgical (MS) and inpatient Hematology Oncology patients
- Experience with Leukemia, Blood Dyscrasias, Lymphoma/Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma is required
Certifications
Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification
Preferred:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Charting System
- Epic experience required

Special Procedures / Unit Focus
- Autologous Stem Cell Transplants – patient receives their own stem cells
- Syngeneic Transplants – stem cells received from an identical twin
- Allogeneic Transplants – stem cells received from donor/sibling/parent/unrelated donor
- CAR-T Therapy
- Infection prevention and fall prevention protocols

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to hematology/oncology and BMT patients in an inpatient setting
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret telemetry rhythms, and communicate abnormal findings promptly
- Manage ports, PICC lines, central lines, and infusion therapies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, social work, and rapid response teams
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention, PPE, isolation precautions, and patient safety protocols
- Document patient care accurately within Epic EMR

- Current inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience
- Leukemia / Blood Dyscrasias experience
- Lymphoma / Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma experience
- Multiple Myeloma experience
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification
- Epic charting experience
Pay: $63.00 - $65.00 per hour
