Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Aeronautical Engineer to support the design, integration, and development of advanced aerospace platforms.
- This position focuses on structural design, multidisciplinary engineering integration, and collaboration with manufacturing and production teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- The ideal candidate has extensive experience with aircraft structures, metallic and composite components, and advanced CAD design tools while working on complex aerospace or defense programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of aircraft structural designs across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Develop and refine airframe designs using CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
- Participate in engineering trade studies to evaluate design alternatives, performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, fabrication, assembly, and MRB teams to support production activities.
- Review engineering data and resolve design-related technical issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, engineering presentations, and customer deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of complex aerospace programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 10 years of experience designing and analyzing aircraft or airframe structures.
- 10 years of experience working with both metallic and composite structural components.
- Strong proficiency with CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience supporting Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Familiarity with hand stress analysis methods.
- Experience working directly with manufacturing, suppliers, and production teams.
- Background supporting advanced aerospace, defense, or hypersonic vehicle development programs.
