· Translate client needs, organizational goals, workplace strategies, and project requirements into thoughtful, functional, and compelling design solutions.

· Serve as a trusted design partner to clients, confidently presenting concepts, recommendations, and solutions while building strong, long-term relationships.

· Develop and produce accurate design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, finish plans, furniture plans, specifications, and 3D visualizations.

· Lead the selection and specification of furniture, materials, finishes, and other design elements, balancing aesthetics, functionality, budget, availability, and project requirements.

· Coordinate design details with internal project teams, manufacturers, vendors, architects, contractors, and other project partners to ensure design intent is carried through to completion.

· Participate in and lead client meetings, presentations, site visits, project kickoffs, and installation reviews as appropriate.

· Proactively identify potential project challenges, develop solutions, and communicate issues early to keep projects moving forward.

· Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date project documentation while ensuring key project details, decisions, and deliverables are clearly communicated.

· Help establish project priorities, timelines, and next steps while managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

· Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to associate and junior designers, helping strengthen their technical skills, design thinking, and confidence.

· Stay current with trends, products, materials, workplace strategies, and emerging ideas in commercial interior design and bring relevant inspiration and knowledge to the team and our clients.

What We’re Looking For in a Senior Interior Designer

· Brings significant commercial interior design experience and the confidence to independently lead projects and make informed design decisions.

· Demonstrates strong design judgment and the ability to balance creativity with functionality, budget, timelines, and real-world project constraints.

· Build trust with clients and project partners through professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, and follow-through.

· Communicates clearly and confidently, with the ability to listen, ask thoughtful questions, present ideas, and navigate challenging conversations when needed.

· Takes ownership of projects and responsibilities, anticipating needs rather than waiting to be asked.

· Brings a collaborative mindset and understands that the strongest projects come from bringing together different perspectives, expertise, and ideas.

· Is highly organized and detail-oriented while maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture and keep projects moving forward.

· Enjoys mentoring and supporting less-experienced designers and contributes positively to the growth and development of the broader team.

· Approaches challenges with curiosity, creativity, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

· Brings positive energy, professionalism, and a thoughtful perspective to the team and workplace.

· Takes pride in the work, the client experience, and the finished space. Understands that success is measured by more than simply getting the project across the finish line.

Job Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in interior design with 7 years of experience.

· Proven track record in leading successful commercial design projects

· Expert knowledge of commercial furniture systems and workplace strategies

· Strong leadership and client relationship management skills

· Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, CET)
