McMenomy Law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our small, established firm in Reno. Our practice includes estate planning, probate, civil litigation, landlord-tenant, and business matters, though this role will be focused primarily on litigation.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, coachable, and able to provide reliable support in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the firm’s litigation practice through drafting, research, and case-related execution
- Draft motions, written discovery, responses, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Communicate directly with clients on assigned matters
- Attend hearings, court appearances, and other proceedings where appropriate
- Track deadlines, and manage matter updates
- Participate in weekly team meetings and proactively flag questions, roadblocks, and items needing review
- Work closely with the owner-attorney, with increasing responsibility over time
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Nevada Bar membership in good standing
- 1- 3 years of experience preferred, though new associates are welcome to apply
- Civil litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Clio or similar practice management software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong drafting, proofreading, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in office five days per week
- Writing sample required during the interview process
Role Details
- Location: Reno, NV
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work Setting: In office
- Compensation: $110,000 annual salary
