What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Business Centric Technology?
We're seeking a Field Service Technician to support the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of load bank equipment used in mission-critical data center environments. This is a field-based role supporting customers throughout the Southeast, with approximately 90–95% travel to customer sites. This is a 6-month contract position located in Fayetteville, GA (Atlanta Metro).
CONTRACT COMP: Up to $45/hour depending on the candidate's experience, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain load bank equipment at customer locations.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and PLC/HMI-related issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Document service activities and communicate findings with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while following LOTO, PPE, and site-specific safety requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 3 years of industrial field service experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with pumps, valves, piping, PLCs/HMIs, or similar industrial equipment.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively throughout the Southeast.
- Valid driver's license required.
