Job Description
- Deliver lumber and building materials safely and efficiently to job sites and customers' homes using company vehicles
- Load, secure, transport, and unload lumber and building materials safely and efficiently
- Verify orders and materials before delivery to help ensure customers receive the correct products
- Use knowledge of lumber and building materials to properly handle, organize, and deliver products
- Provide professional and helpful customer service to contractors, homeowners, and other customers at delivery locations
- Greet and assist customers in-store and over the phone with professionalism and a helpful attitude
- Assist with loading customer orders and preparing materials for delivery or pickup
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, store, and delivery vehicles
- Help stock and organize inventory in the store and yard
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the yard, store, and delivery areas
- Follow all safety protocols, material-handling practices, and company procedures at all times
- Be a dependable team member with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of lumber and building materials is strongly preferred
- Previous experience in delivery, construction, lumber/building materials, retail, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and work in a fast-paced yard and delivery environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
- Forklift experience is a plus; we will train if needed
