We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter with experience in custom cabinetry and millwork, and strong proficiency in Chief Architect, to support our design and production teams. This role plays a critical part in translating design intent into accurate, shop-ready drawings that guide fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D shop drawings and 3D models for custom cabinetry and architectural millwork using Chief Architect
- Create elevations, sections, plans, and construction details suitable for fabrication
- Interpret architectural plans, field measurements, and design concepts
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Revise drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and design changes
- Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to company drafting standards
- Assist with material takeoffs, hardware specifications, and production documentation as needed
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Chief Architect
- Proven experience drafting custom cabinetry, millwork, or casework
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction, woodworking methods, and hardware
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction documents
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, or similar software
- Familiarity with CNC preparation or shop workflows
- Experience with luxury residential projects
- Ability to produce presentation drawings or renderings is a plus
