Bus & Truck of Chicago (BTC) specializes in commercial vehicle collision repair and maintenance for fleet owners in the Chicagoland area. Located in Bedford Park, IL, BTC has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality work on large and complex jobs for Transit Authorities, Municipalities, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and large fleet owners throughout the Midwest. We service and repair all types of buses, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles.
We are looking to add a Paint Prepper/Helper to our team. We are looking for person with experience prepping vehicles for paint & sanding/buffing refinished paint. This position is also an opportunity to grow your career and become a Painter or Body Technician at our facility. Candidates will need to be available to work Monday-Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM (30-min lunch included). Overtime is available on a case by case basis. Employees are paid weekly and starting pay is based on experience. Insurance (Health, Vision, Dental) is available after 90 days of employment and an IRA is available after 1 year of employment.
Primary Responsibilities
· Following instruction from experienced Painters/Body Technicians
· Preparing surfaces for painting using pneumatic and manual sanding equipment
· Cleaning and masking vehicles surfaces before painting
· Wet sanding and buffing finished vehicles
Salary
· $18-24/hour paid weekly, based on experience

· 0-2 Years Experience in Body Repair

· Ability to Pass a Drug Test

Education
· High school diploma or GED, Vocational or Technical Certification in vehicle repair preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
· ICAR/ASE certification, CDL License preferred but not required
· PPG Certification preferred, but not required
