What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation: Sports/Field Trip Activity Driver position at Bus Garage?
JOB SUMMARY: Transport students for sports and field trips. Hours vary, and the employee can choose the trips he/she would like to take. This job is great for teachers, parents with students in activities, retired people and anyone who enjoys going to games and on field trips while being paid.
WORK REQUIREMENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Education/Certification/Licensure:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license (Class D) and acceptable driving record for insurability by the District’s insurance carrier, and to meet state requirements
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License with a school bus and passenger endorsement - we have in house training
- Ability to pass a federally mandated drug/alcohol screen
- Successful completion of the school driver training programs and courses established by the state and/or school district
Applicant must have a good driving record, be able to pass a drug and alcohol test, and pass a background check. Applicant must also be dependable with a good work ethic. Training will be provided to acquire a school bus drivers license.
