Customer service representatives have many responsibilities, including:
- Responding to customer inquiries
Customer service representatives respond to customer questions and concerns via phone, email, chat, or social media.
- Resolving customer issues
Customer service representatives resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining customer records
Customer service representatives update customer records after each interaction, including adding notes and reporting on trends.
- Providing product and service information
Customer service representatives provide customers with up-to-date information about products and services.
- Upselling and cross-selling
Customer service representatives identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services.
- Collaborating with other departments
Customer service representatives work with other departments to resolve customer issues and concerns.
- Maintaining a positive attitude
Customer service representatives maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Responding to customer reviews
Customer service representatives respond to customer reviews of products or companies.
- Assist Sales Manager with Proposals and Follow-up
Customer service representatives will assist in the sales process by creating proposals and following up with customers and prospects.
- Adapting to new technologies
Customer service representatives adapt to new technologies and processes as they are implemented.
