Shop Helper

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to assist our mechanics and shop personnel with daily operations. This position plays an important support role in maintaining an efficient, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with repairs, maintenance, and shop-related tasks as needed
• Move equipment, tools, parts, and materials throughout the shop and yard
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, work areas, and vehicles
• Perform basic maintenance and labor duties under supervision
• Load and unload parts, supplies, and equipment
• Pick up and deliver parts or equipment when required
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Support additional shop operations and duties as assigned
• Occasionally drive commercial vehicles between locations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum Commercial Class B Driver License required
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Prior shop, construction, mechanical, or labor experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs
• Ability to work in varying weather and shop conditions, including outdoors in the elements

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
