Burton Design & Construction, LLC is seeking dependable, hardworking, and motivated Construction Laborers to join our growing field team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin or continue a career in residential construction while learning from experienced Lead Carpenters, Site Supervisors, and Project Managers.
Construction Laborers support all phases of luxury residential remodels, additions, and custom home construction. Key Responsibilities
Support the field team throughout all phases of residential construction while maintaining standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.
Construction Support
Assist the Lead Carpenter and project team with:
- Site preparation and demolition
- Material handling and job site organization
- Loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials
- Framing support
- Foundation preparation and concrete work
- Waterproofing and moisture protection
- Window and door installation
- Siding installation
- Interior and exterior trim
- Cabinet installation assistance
- Drywall installation, patching, and repairs
- Interior and exterior painting
- Decks, balconies, fencing, and retaining walls
- General carpentry and construction tasks
- Punch list and warranty work
- Daily job site cleanup and organization
- Other duties as assigned
Quality & Safety Expectations
Every Construction Laborer is expected to:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Protect finished work and customer property.
- Complete assigned work with attention to detail and quality.
- Immediately report safety concerns, damaged materials, or quality issues.
- Represent Burton Design & Construction, LLC professionally with coworkers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of construction experience preferred.
- Residential construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn new construction skills and techniques.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools or willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience operating construction equipment is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, crawl, and work overhead throughout the day.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, hand tools, and power tools.
Requirements
- Valid California Driver License.
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Bay Area.
- Basic English communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish is a plus).
- Must provide a basic set of personal hand tools ("Bring Your Own Tools").
- Must wear appropriate work attire and work boots.
- Must comply with all safety requirements.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on project needs.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
