Role Description
This part-time, on-site role is based in Ware Shoals, SC, and involves providing direct support to individuals with disabilities and special needs. Key responsibilities include assisting clients with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and facilitating participation in community activities. The position also involves implementing training programs and ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all individuals under your care.
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues
- Willingness to provide Training and support to help clients develop life skills
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering independence for individuals
- High school diploma or equivalent required, additional certifications in related fields are a plus
- Reliable transportation and ability to comply with background checks as required
