INJECTION MOLD POLISHING JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Polish all types of tool steel, copper and aluminum from a fine stone finish to a mirror finish.
- Ability to deburr molding areas maintaining sharp edges.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to troubleshoot polishing issues and repair molds from verbal instructions, blueprints and visually looking at sample molded parts.
- Ability to understand mold shut-offs and help “fit” the mold shut-offs by polishing when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. safely.
- Proficiency with polishing equipment and supplies.
- May be required to do some general maintenance on polishing equipment.
- May be required to polish surfaces to print dimensions using an indicator.
- May be required to “wet vapor home” or “glass Bead” components when necessary.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Keep work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment.
- Proactively support improvement of the department by providing suggestions and recommendations to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Proficient with power tools.
- Diligence, attention to detail and good eyesight.
- Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks.
- Excellent reading comprehension and capacity to follow written directions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
