Job Description: Automotive Technician
Reports to: Service Manager
Job Classification: Full Time
Work Schedule: Dealership Hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm- Monday-Friday, and 8:00 am-noon rotational Saturday’s. Position is scheduled 40-45 hours per week, or as dealership volume and needs dictate
Scope of departmental work: Vehicle maintenance & repair
Compensation: $18-$35 per hour, with a very competitive bonus plan
Responsibilities:
· Vehicle Diagnostic utilizing test drives, diagnostic equipment, and various special service tools
· Communicating with service advisors to provide estimates for repairs or additional services needed
· Basic computer skills needed to story out vehicle repairs and run diagnostic equipment
· Accurately complete repairs on cars and light duty trucks
· Complete Ford warranty repairs in accordance with Ford standards
· Complete vehicle inspections on each vehicle to ensure all problems are identified
· Stay current with State of Michigan or ASE certifications
