Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Motors Workflow Technician to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Develop and manage project schedules for motor assembly line processes, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues, identifying underlying problems and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and CAD software to create detailed schematics, layouts, and fabrication drawings for tooling and fixtures.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial equipment, and robot systems to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Operate machining tools, CNC machines, and perform CNC programming to produce precision components for motors.
- Support plastics injection molding processes by setting up molds, monitoring quality, and adjusting parameters as needed.
- Conduct process engineering activities such as lean manufacturing initiatives, process optimization, and continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity.
- Interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and factory drawings to assemble mechanical components accurately.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges to verify component dimensions in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Assist with maintenance of industrial equipment, troubleshooting electrical wiring issues, and ensuring factory safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tooling fabrication, assembly line setup, and process improvements using hand tools and fabrication techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or factory environments with a focus on mechanical or industrial engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling tools and methodologies to coordinate workflow efficiently.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo for schematic design and fabrication planning.
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming, machining operations, welding, robot programming, and tooling setup.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes and CAM programming for part manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of schematics, GD&T standards, electrical wiring diagrams, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving techniques in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent math skills for measurements, calculations related to process engineering, and quality control inspections.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is preferred to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with effective communication skills to collaborate across teams on process improvements.
