About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and leadership-driven Residential HVAC/AC Supervisor to oversee our residential service and installation teams serving Southold and the surrounding North Fork communities. In this role, you will split your time between field leadership—ensuring top-tier quality control on residential systems—and office operations, including scheduling, mentoring technicians, inventory control and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of residential HVAC technicians and installers.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct on-site inspections of finished jobs to ensure strict compliance with local Suffolk County codes and company standards.
- Technical Support: Serve as the go-to technical expert for troubleshooting residential split systems, heat pumps, boilers, and multi-zone controls.
- Customer Relations: Meet with homeowners to resolve escalated service issues, explain technical solutions clearly, and maintain our reputation for premium service.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards and ensure correct EPA refrigerant handling protocols are followed by all field staff.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of residential HVAC field experience, with at least 2 years in a lead tech or supervisory role.
- Certifications: Valid EPA Universal Certification is strictly required. NATE certification or local Suffolk County specialized training is highly preferred.
- Local Geography: Must possess a valid NY Driver’s License with a clean record and have deep familiarity with navigating Long Island's North Fork.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of high-efficiency residential systems, heat pumps, zoning, and smart thermostats.
- Communication: Excellent communication and basic computer skills for report filing and team management.
