Burrow Global has an immediate need for Piping Designer for a long-term position in Baytown, TX.
Candidates for this position must have 10 years’ Piping design experience and have S3D experience.

Candidates for this position must have 10 years’ Piping design experience and have S3D experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D piping models using Smart3D (S3D)
- Generate 2D drawings including isometrics, piping layouts, and schematics using AutoCad
- Interpret engineering sketches, P&IDs, and specifications to produce accurate piping designs
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure design integration
- Revise drawings based on redlines, field changes, and engineering feedback
- Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and revision control
- Support site teams with drawing packages and updates during construction or fabrication phases
- Generate technical documentation and reports using company templates, such as line list, tie-in list, valve list, etc.
- Ensure compliance with piping specifications and design standards
- Redline and update P&IDs to reflect Project Scope
- Proficiency in 2D software
- Experience with 3D model creation and modification
- Experience with laser scanning (Leica preferred)
- Knowledge of piping systems and plant layout design
- Ability to perform clash detection and resolution
- Understanding of piping specifications and industry standards
- Experience with drawing generation and documentation
- Ability to work with project stakeholders and other disciplines
- Understanding of quality control processes for 2D/3D models
- Knowledge of plant breakdown structures and naming conventions
- Experience with model review and validation procedures
- Experience with CAD Software and related drafting and drawing tools
- Experience with brownfield engineering
