Role and Responsibilities
We have an immediate need for a results-driven Business Development Representative who can drive growth, own the end-to-end sales cycle, and blend strategic relationship-building with technical acumen. You will be a key player in shaping our future across multiple markets, collaborating with engineering, fabrication, and operations teams to deliver value to clients and ensure long-term partnerships.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end business development and sales process across target industries, including EPC, engineering, automation, plant services, I&E construction, buildings & architecture, and targeted fabrication sectors (steel fabrication, precision power systems for offshore/oil & gas, subsea, refinery, petrochemical, renewables).
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities through strategic outreach, including cold calling, networking, trades shows, and industry events; build a robust sales pipeline in Salesforce.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders (procurement, engineering, operations, leadership) to secure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
- Lead technical discovery and solution scoping, tailoring proposals to client needs, including RFP responses, cost estimates, value engineering, risk assessments, and commercialization plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, fabrication, project delivery) to ensure accurate quotes, schedules, and successful project execution; translate client requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Manage complex contracting processes, including terms, warranties, safety, compliance, and regulatory considerations; navigate multi-stakeholder approvals and long sales cycles.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client visits; actively build and maintain a professional network within target markets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, provide forecasting and dashboards, and monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and messaging.
- Travel as required to meet clients, visit facilities, and participate in industry events; travel frequency aligned with territory and pipeline needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of successful technical sales and business development experience in the EPC industry with a proven track record of closing complex sales and managing long cycles.
- Candidates with knowledge of steel fabrication processes, fabrication standards, power systems, and the relevant industries (O&G, subsea, renewables) including EPC, engineering, automation, and plant services are highly desired.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM and MS Office; strong experience managing opportunities, forecasts, and dashboards.
- Exceptional cold-calling, prospecting, negotiation, and presentation skills; consultative sales approach with a strong client-centric mindset.
- Ability to build and sustain lasting client relationships across multiple stakeholders, strong networking capability.
- Self-starter with a proactive, strategic approach to sales, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid or cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically is required.
