What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Burrito Shak?
Burrito Shak in Winterville, NC is looking for 1 Weekend prep cook to join our restaurant team. We are located at 2035 Flower Drive, Suite 5. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, reliable, and hard-working. Our ideal candidate will work from 8:00 am - 3:00pm every Saturday and Sunday and be responsible for opening the restaurant and preparing the majority of our recipes.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and prepare salsas, sauces, and other items
- Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Open the restaurant and prepare for the beginning of the day
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and listen to team members
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- ServSafe Certificate
- Experience as a Prep Cook a plus
