Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of their daily tasks.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must have a valid SC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to read, count and write to accurately complete inventory receipts, inventory counts, and point of sales transactions.
- Must have customer service skills, with basic phone and computer proficiency.
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds. Must be able to use a hand-truck dolly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, due to liquor service regulations.
- Must be able to communicate with co-workers and customers in a clear, business-like and respectful manner.
- Must have ability to learn and maintain knowledge of beverage offerings.
Additional qualifications and details:
- Adhere to a work schedule with consistency and dependability, daily: Clock in and out daily and for lunch breaks using a computerized time clock; Work hours will be within store hours of Monday through Friday, 9am to 6:30pm; Overtime will be occasional; 30-minute lunch breaks.
- Receive deliveries, daily: Receive shipments; Create and maintain receiving orders via a computer; Operate conveyor belt; Use bar code scanner; Document quantity and cost of each case received via a computer.
- Perform inventory control, daily: Count items in stock; Double-check and update prices on retail shelving; Review shelves for re-stocking needs; Stock retail shelving.
- Fill orders, as needed: Pull orders to fulfill orders for delivery
- Work the cash register, daily: Scan items in a purchase; Request payment from customer; Process cash or card payment; Bag or box purchase for the customer
- Provide customer service to in-store customers, daily: Answer questions about specific items in stock; Answer questions about finding an item in stock; Provide instructions to closest locations for non-liquor, but related items
- Answer phones, daily: Answer questions about hours of operation, location, directions, specific items in stock; Taking orders from local bars and restaurants
