Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including dry vans and flatbeds in drop and hook situations.
• Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring cargo integrity and adherence to safety standards.
• Drive on designated routes while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Manage documentation such as delivery manifests, logs, and inspection reports accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents or damage during transit.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated.
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving route driving and load management.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations applicable to commercial driving.
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
• Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual tasks. Current Physical Card is required.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or route adjustments.
• This position is for 3rd Shift Night time operations due to traffic reduction and client delivery scheduling.
