The Electrical Field Testing Technician is responsible for assisting in commissioning and testing activities in the field for client projects across the nation.
- Assist with the field testing for utility and industrial substations and facilities.
- Assist with the verification of the proper installation of equipment.
- Assist with testing of substation apparatus and systems.
- Assist with compiling test results and creating reports for all the physical testing of equipment test procedures.
- Develops knowledge and job skills of cost control and the corresponding testing and commissioning scheduling tasks.
- Develops the knowledge and job skills to perform verification of yard wiring per design drawings.
- Adhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards.
- Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of electrical fundamentals, electrical transmission and distribution equipment, and their operations.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent required.
- Or Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement required.
- Previous related internship preferred.
- Requires attention to safety and the ability to remain current on all safety training and certifications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel.
- Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
- Valid driver's license required.
