What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker/ Pastry Chef position at Burning Acre Bakery?

You MUST have baking experience; fine dessert experience is a huge plus!
The Pastry/Baker will prepare Burning Acre infused baked goods for wholesale and retail customers.
Responsibilities:
- Bake Burning Acre animal treats and other treats while following all food-related quality controls and regulations.
- Clean and prep all baking materials for specific tasks.
- Assemble all dry and wet goods for production.
- Work independently or collaboratively to execute recipes.
- Utilize industrial equipment to facilitate efficient production.
- Handle all hot or dangerous items with care.
- Ensure all baked goods are stored and packaged properly.
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Ensure that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications or requests.
- Maintain kitchen operations in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and hygiene codes and standards.
- Assist with stocking, ordering, and purchasing of ingredients, ensuring necessary ingredients are available and as fresh as possible while minimizing spoilage and waste.
- Maintain and inspect kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Firm understanding of the Metric and Imperial systems of measurements.
- Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions precisely.
- Strong safety awareness around hot or dangerous items.
- Adherence to all Health and Safety dress codes.
- Ability to produce an excellent culinary experience for customers.
- Creativity and passion for innovative baked goods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure and with a variety of personalities.
- Must be 21
Experience:
- Relevant experience or training, which may be demonstrated via a degree, certificate, apprenticeship, or other expertise necessary to become trained as a baker.
- Food Handlers License preferred.
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing while preparing and cooking food.
- Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.
- Punctual and keeps attendance a high priority.

Experience:
