Burnett Dairy Cooperative is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Makeroom Table Runner to join our Makeroom team. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in producing quality food, and like being part of a team that keeps things moving, this role might be right up your alley.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support our Cheesemakers in producing high-quality table cheese. This role is a key part of the cheesemaking process — keeping equipment running smoothly, maintaining accurate measurements, and making sure every step meets our standards for safety and quality.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Monitoring table cheese production and regularly testing pH and moisture levels
- Assisting with cooling, handling, and maintaining proper texture of cheese
- Keeping an eye on string cooker temperatures and making adjustments as needed
- Operating makeroom equipment and production lines safely and correctly
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining equipment to meet food safety requirements
- Helping with additional production tasks to keep operations efficient

Availability
This position requires reliable attendance and flexibility. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
The work is active and hands-on. You should be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for most of the shift
- Frequent hand use and repetitive motions
- Occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
- Working in hot, humid, or damp environments
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crouching
