Engineering Intern

Description

A well know construction company is seeking a Engineering Intern to Performs GIS mapping, analysis, and data collection to assist the GIS Analyst. Will be required to assist in field data collection.

Responsibilities

• Conducts GIS research involving literature searches, data evaluation, and acquisition.
• Implementation of Database including training, data entry, and documentation.
• Provide and create digital and hard copy data.
• Maintain and update files in the GIS library.
• Performs analysis on new and existing properties.
• Provides mapping services for all departments within the company.
• Surveying, including but not limited to using the GPS.
  
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in GIS, Geography, or other related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  
  

1 year’ experience as a GIS Technician or equivalent.

• Knowledge of computer software programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD or experience with an equivalent software.
  
  

Ability to learn to operate computer aided surveying and GPS Systems
