What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Analyst II position at Burlington?
**Position Overview**
Primarily responsible for supporting the Risk Management team at Burlington by coordinating the RMIS reporting functions, exposure quantifications for insurance renewals, insurance policy and invoice tracking, loss trends and claim analytics for casualty, property and other loss exposures. The position will also coordinate the certificate of insurance issuance with internal teams and broker representatives and handle all invoice tracking for the risk function. Other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Director – Risk & Insurance.
**A Day In The Life**
• Serve as administrator for the Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS); create custom reports as needed
• Responsible for initial loss analysis, loss trend reporting, financial claims data reporting and other custom reporting & analysis as needed by the business. All reporting will go to the Risk Manager for final review
• Manage analytical projects from initial scoping through completion, including defining objectives, gathering and validating data, conducting analysis, summarizing key findings and presenting recommendations
• Support insurance operations and data management processes
• Assist in tracking the collection of all reports from various business partners and systems (HRIS, Cognos etc.)
• Develop, validate and maintain Burlington’s Statement of Values, by obtaining detailed data calculating values of all locations based on inventory, fixture values, equipment; etc.
• In partnership with Manager, submit final report for submission to insurers.
• Gather & analyze company exposure data to assist in preparation of annual insurance renewal submissions
• Assist in certificate of insurance issuance, auto ID card distribution, invoice tracking and payment, and certificate updates as requested
• Provide support to internal and external claims team on large and complex property claims. Coordinate property loss control visits by carriers' representatives
• Coordinate & partner with internal accounting team to manage the payment of premiums, tracking of paid loss reconciliations and internal monthly claims reporting
• Assist Manager - Risk & Insurance in tracking monopolistic state fund premium (PR, OH, WA) calculations/payments and exposures.
• Other projects and assignments as needed and instructed by the Claims Manager, Risk Manager, Director, and/or SVP – Tax & Risk
**You'll Come With**
• Four-year degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Commercial insurance or Brokerage
• Ability to professionally communicate to all levels of the organization as well as external vendors both orally and in writing
• Attention to detail and high regard for quality
• Must be comfortable with and willing to proactively take responsibility and ownership of deadlines
• Ability to learn risk management information system
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects
• Superior analytical skills; organize raw data and produce a report for management, highlighting key business call outs
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; good relationship building skills
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel - Formula creation, pivot tables
