Digital Learning Coach 2025/2026
The Digital Learning Coach is part of a collaborative district team that serves to create and develop strategies to innovate and improve instruction using digital literacy. Digital Learning Coaches skillfully integrate innovative technology use with strong pedagogy to support the development of content knowledge in Burlington classrooms.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated exemplary teaching practices
- Strong technology integration skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills leading to positive relationships
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the integration of technology on the development and implementation of curriculum in all content areas
- Collaborates with the Director of Technology Integration and Assistant Superintendent of Learning to plan and implement staff technology training programs to promote the integration of technology into the curriculum
- Provides administrators and staff with current information on emerging technology for the classroom
- Works directly with the Curriculum Team, Department Chairs, and Curriculum Coordinators to make connection between curriculum development at the district level and implementation at the building level
- Develops and leads professional learning programs and opportunities around digital learning
- Professional learning opportunities include in-person, remote, and on-demand video options
- Works in collaboration with district Teacher Librarians to create and update curriculum to align with current Massachusetts Digital Literacy standards
- Represents the district in professional organizations related to technology integration including those associated with Digital Literacy and Computer Science
- Works with all curriculum committees to align and audit programs with an emphasis on equity
- Employs consistent and strategic coaching approaches when collaborating with teachers to design and implement high quality, technology-enhanced, deeper learning experiences for all students
- Models effective collaborative learning strategies to maximize teacher and student use of digital curriculum materials, including digital tools such as apps and web based resources
- Supports, extends, and differentiates learning for all students by coaching teachers to design high quality instruction with digital learning opportunities
- Collaborates with teachers and administrators to select and evaluate digital tools and resources that enhance teaching and learning and are compatible with the school technology infrastructure
- Communicates and promotes digital learning to parents and Burlington community
- Coaches teachers on how to integrate core competencies such as empathy, the ability to understand and consider multiple perspectives, the appreciation of cultural differences and global awareness by using digital age communication and collaboration tools to interact locally and globally with students, peers, parents, and the larger community.
- Models best practices for Digital Citizenship
Requirements:
Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) certification preferred
