Career Readiness Coaches, Summer Career Academy in AI - 2026

Job Goal:  Assist in teaching career readiness skills - strengths assessments, elevator pitch, networking skills, and using linkedin. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach 25 High School students career readiness skills.
• Meet with the Program Director prior to the start date to review the curriculum and meet the team. 
• Provide one-on-one guidance as needed to students.
• Help students decide on a project idea and provide guidance and support.

Requirements:

• Declared or Intended BA or BS in computer science or a related field by the start of the program. 
• Experience with at least one programming language and have project experience.
• Experience with data science, machine learning, and AI agents.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience, especially in computer science is strongly preferred.
• Ability to adapt to various learning styles and respect for individual differences of students.
• Must be able to collaborate with other team members and share classroom responsibilities.
• Strong time management, organizational and communication skills.

Schedule:

• July 13 – July 16, one or two mornings, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at Burlington High School 

Compensation:

Hourly rate of $40 per hour

July 13, 2026
