What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Transportation Driver position at Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center?
Burlington Health and Rehab is seeking a motivated and energetic Patient Transportation Driver to provide exceptional customer service while safely transporting our residents to and from appointments. The ideal candidate is CPR certified, has a valid driver's license, and brings compassion and attentiveness to elderly or disabled individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate facility vehicle and assist residents in and out of the vehicle
Secure residents' mobility aids (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs)
Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and time
Conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks (lights, fluids, tires)
Follow safety protocols and ensure all passengers are secure
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license & CPR certification/ Willingness to obtain
Strong interpersonal and recordkeeping skills
6–12 months experience in a similar transportation role
Experience in long-term care or working with individuals with disabilities a plus
