Performing Arts Center (PAC) Technical Manager
Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology
Position Summary
BCIT is seeking a highly motivated Performing Arts Center (PAC) Technical Manager to oversee the complete technical operation and maintenance of the BCIT Medford Performing Arts Center and the BCIT Westampton Auditorium. The successful candidate will provide technical direction and onsite management for district and community events, oversee theatrical, lighting, sound, and stage equipment, and ensure the safe operation of all facilities and systems.
This position also includes supervising student stage crews, facilitating after-school training opportunities, supporting productions and events, coordinating with facility renters, and assisting with budget planning, inventory management, and facility improvements.
Qualifications
This position requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and kneeling. The employee must be able to lift, move, and handle equipment and supplies, including occasional lifting of items weighing 20 pounds or more.

Qualifications
- Substitute Teacher Certification preferred
- Experience working in a professional or school theater setting as a Technical Director
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Theater or equivalent preferred
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and community partners
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Required criminal history background check, medical examination, and drug screening
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
- Must pass criminal history background check

- Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
