The Merchandise Disposition Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the Merchandise Disposition operations within the Distribution Center including , returning product to vendors, processing inbound and inhouse damages and Non-Burlington goods, processing associated vendor chargebacks and claims, determining and facilitating merchandise final disposition, coordinating product donation, and maintaining inventory integrity and adjustments. This role ensures product quality, creates and maintains SOPs, and ensures adherence to Distribution Center policies, and procedures. This is a working supervisor position with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities:
Provide solid leadership, coaching in the moment, and direction to all associates with a focus on engagement.
Ensure departmental productivity and efficiency and assists where needed
Supervise, hire, train, provide work direction, and problem-solving assistance for department associates.
Utilizes information systems for research, record keeping and reporting.
Partner with Vendor Compliance Inspectors and keep open lines of communication to ensure that compliance issues are being captured and documented.
Contribute innovative new ideas and use of technologies with a focus on continuous improvement.
Interact with all areas within the distribution center as well as management in Supply Chain.
Collaborate with management to maintain and distribute current SOPs.
Problem-solve to ensure daily department policy adherence, productivity, efficiency and appropriate coverage across areas. Adjust staff as needed to ensure the Service Level Agreement (SLA) are is met, timely final disposition of product and report to management immediately any and all issues.
Ensure safe and clean work area through team education and maintaining department compliance to strict safety standards following established policies and procedures.
Provide reporting including finance end of month closing.
Maintain timesheets and PTO requests to payroll for all direct reports.
Conduct performance reviews and handle performance improvement plans as needed.
Coordinate special projects, such as coat drives, sample sale donations, etc. as needed.
Participate in required weekly staff meeting with management.

Intermediate mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, formulas)
Ability to transpose numbers and information with accuracy.
Proven problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Fluent in English – Verbal and written
General distribution center/warehouse knowledge.
Experience with RF Scanners is a plus.
Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality to work is a must.
