The Successful Leasing Consultant Will
- Perform activities related to apartment rental and renewal: Providing apartment tours; Outreach marketing; Qualifying prospective residents; Preparing paperwork; Completing move-in procedures; Meeting with current residents regarding lease renewal and rates
- Maintain excellent resident relations: Provide superior customer service; Work with residents to provide solutions; Participate in resident promotions or functions
- Represent the property community in a positive manner and convey the benefits of the community to prospective residents
- Proactively participate in the team effort to accomplish desired results; Participate in staff meetings as required.
- Minimum of two years sales/leasing experience or equivalent preferred
- Low-Income Tax credit and senior housing experience a plus
- Previous tax credit experience preferred
- Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
- Ability to use computer and basic office equipment to perform job duties
- Excellent customer service and follow-up skills a must
- Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
- Follow directions and work independently
- Basic computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must have basic understanding of the English language, and be able to communicate effectively and professionally
- A reliable vehicle and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record may be required for this position (to perform marketing duties)
