Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician at Wells Manor Apartments in Wellston, Ohio.
We're looking for a dependable, hands-on professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys providing exceptional service to residents. If you have experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade and enjoy solving maintenance challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies is required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform general apartment and building maintenance including painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and other maintenance tasks.
- Inspect maintenance issues, evaluate needed repairs, and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding major repairs or issues outside the scope of your expertise.
- Assist with apartment make-readies and help maintain the appearance and safety of the community.
- Participate in the company's preventative maintenance program.
- Attend staff meetings and required safety training.
- Follow all company safety policies and liability guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service while interacting with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
- Assist with additional maintenance projects as assigned.
- Participate in the emergency on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when scheduled.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of maintenance or related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Trade school or an associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.
- Ability to work independently while following direction from management.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
