Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in food handling and serving areas
- Assist with bussing tables, and supporting the team during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, process payments swiftly, and handle cashiering duties with professionalism
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to ensure complete satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant offerings, specials, and promotions to maximize sales opportunities through effective upselling strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during high-volume periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Previous experience in serving, host/hostess roles, or food industry positions preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or nights as needed in a fast-paced hospitality setting
