What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Person position at Burley Motels LLC?
This person will primarily spend time in Burley & Rupert at one of our 7 locations.
General Description
A motel maintenance person will be responsible, under the direction of the motel manager, for the overall maintenance of the motel and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations.
Maintenance responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
- Make any necessary repairs to rooms in time for guest check in.
- Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance.
- Schedule and complete any preventive maintenance required.
- Complete grounds maintenance.
- Attending to and solving guest complaints in a timely manner.
- Routinely check that all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire alarms, etc., are in place and in proper working order.
- Refurbishing of chairs, tables, doors, windows, counters, etc. when necessary.
- Maintain grounds keeping, including clearing and maintaining parking lots, sidewalks, garden or landscaping areas, etc.
- Coordinate special projects.
- Some office assistance at times
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems is encouraged.
- Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Must have ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
