What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ditchrider position at Burley Irrigation District?
Job Requirements:
- Beneficial if resides in the Burley-Declo area
- Must be a self-starter, punctual, honest, and hardworking
- Must be detail-oriented, patient, reliable, and possess good communication skills
- High School graduate or completed GED
- Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to perform physically-demanding labor as needed
- Must have basic computer Knowledge
- Description of Duties:
- Maintain assigned area of the BID canal system (approximately 150 E to 550 E) during the irrigation season (March - October) including monitoring water delivery, burning ditches, and weed control
- Assist with offseason maintenance of canals, facilities, and equipment
