Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Wrecker Driver / Lot Porter. If you take pride in your work, have a positive attitude, and are willing to learn, we'd like to meet you.
In this role, you'll help keep our used car lot organized and our inventory ready for sale by transporting vehicles, assisting with inspections and repairs, fueling vehicles, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient lot. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while also being a team player.
The ideal candidate is dependable, follows directions well, pays attention to detail, and is committed to doing the job right. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. No previous experience is necessary—we are happy to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to showing up every day ready to work. Dependability, safe driving, attention to detail, and the ability to learn on the job are commonly valued qualifications for automotive porter roles.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles and transport vehicles as needed.
- Move, park, and organize vehicles throughout the car lot.
- Take vehicles for state inspections
- Pick up vehicles for repairs or repossessions
- Fuel vehicles as needed and ensure inventory is ready for sale.
- Help prepare vehicles for sale by making sure they are clean, organized, and lot-ready.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean vehicle lot.
- Manage vehicle keys by placing keys in vehicles during business hours and securing all keys at closing.
- Check vehicles for basic issues and report any concerns.
- Assist with general lot operations and other duties as assigned.
