What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Delivery Driver position at Burks Beverage?
Deliver large quantities of product to high volume stores using a tractor/trailer truck. Works with receiving personnel for acceptance of load, including generation of an invoice. Unloads pallets of product from the tractor/trailer with an electric pallet jack, putting the product in a suitable place in the store's backroom. On low volume accounts, the product will be loaded on carts, which will be pushed in to the store. The product from these carts will be merchandised in the space provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Maintain safe operation and clean truck appearance/interior by complying with the company's Fleet Policy, as well as the state and local driving rules and regulations.
•Perform all daily check functions in compliance with all DOT regulations and rules.
•Gather appropriate paperwork and equipment for deliveries (i.e. invoices, handhelds/tablets, printers, etc.)
•Delivery and unload product at customer's facility while also establishing a positive working relationship with primary contact and maintaining excellent customer service skills with each account.
•Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift and inform your supervisor of any issues that remain outstanding.
•Responsible for settling up and balancing money and loads/inventory at the end of the day
Qualifications:
•Must have a current/up-to-date CDL license
•Must pass a drug test
•Must have good verbal and written communication skills
•Must have excellent customer service skills
•Must have smart phone/tablet application skills
•Must be a team player
Monday- Friday with occasional Saturdays during peak season.
10-12 hours per day
