We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. Your expertise in laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and data management will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of laboratory quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to clinical trials, research initiatives, and routine hospital-based testing.
Duties
- Conduct clinical chemistry testing, microbiology testing, hematology, blood banking, and immunoassays with precision and adherence to CLIA regulations.
- Perform specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture.
- Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment.
- Implement laboratory quality control protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Manage laboratory data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS) and analyze data for clinical interpretation.
- Follow aseptic techniques during specimen handling to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
- Assist with laboratory management tasks including inventory control, calibration schedules, and compliance with safety standards.
- Interpret diagnostic test results accurately for use in clinical decision-making and research studies.
- Support laboratory procedures involved in clinical trials or research laboratories by executing assays and maintaining detailed records of experiments.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a program for Clinical Lab Assistants or Medical Lab Technicians required. Certification by a nationally recognized agency/board or equivalent experience required. Laboratory experience preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
